Aim of the research
This piece of research has been commissioned in order to
identify opportunities and challenges for supporting
teenage and young parents within South Tyneside. This
research will undertake an audit of the support services
available to teenage and young parents via different
organisations in South Tyneside. The purpose of this
audit is to provide:
- A thorough mapping of support services in order to identify
areas of strength as well as gaps in social provision and
thus enable future evidence based planning.
- Health professionals and young people with up-to-date
information about support services in their locale.
